Hammer Consulting & Copywriting - Cristine Hammer

With a MS in Counseling and Human Systems, Cristine Hammer spent 10 years as a therapist providing mental health services to chronic schizophrenics. After leaving the mental health field, Cristine started a home-based graphic design and wearable arts business. In 1990, Cristine became the Director of Marketing for Academy Entertainment, a film production company based in Shelburne. In 1992, Cristine helped launch Lisaius Marketing, a Burlington-based graphic design company, becoming a partner and Senior VP of Creative Services. In 2009, she founded her own freelance marketing consulting and copywriting business, Hammer Consulting & Copywriting, LLC. The company provides brand exploration and development consultation, graphic design art direction and project management, public relations services, and copywriting and copyediting.

Over her career, Cristine has worked with a diverse range of local, regional and national companies - entertainment (Blockbuster, Showtime Networks, Polygram, USA Networks, Pioneer, Discovery Channel, Hallmark), fitness/wellness (Gaiam, GT Media, Beachbodies, Prevention Magazine, Vt Stress Solutions), technology (Sharp Electronics, IBM, Symquest, Network Performance, Inc), food (Long Trail Brewing Company, Superior Coffee, Tropical Aquaculture), education (Landmark College, UVM, The Curtis Fund), and many others (Rossignol Ski and Snowboards, Avon, ADT Home Security Services, Smith Bell & Thompson, Heritage Aviation, Southwire Company, SpaFinder, Lightworks).

Cristine's community involvements include serving on the Board of the Vermont International Film Festival as Secretary and chair of the Marketing and PR Committee and as a volunteer business mentor and roundtable moderator with SCORE for over 6 years. She is a certified Vermont Master Gardener, a member of the Vermont League of Writers, and for 10 years spearheaded the promotional efforts for the annual "Cabin Fever Reliever" Benefit raising money for the Vermont Cancer Patient Support Program.

Cristine lives in Essex, Vermont with her husband Rick and their 2 geriatric dogs.
